M R$CH – “No Co-Pilot” [Video]

February 25, 2016

By Kaitlin

Saint Paul Minnesota dweller, now residing in Hollywood California, Mikhol Richardson a.k.a. “M R$CH“, finally drops his long awaited sophomore mixtape entitled “No Co-Pilot”. Inspired by his surroundings, R$CH picked up the mic in 2013, which is pretty recent, and hasn’t left it alone since. Following the success of his first mixtape, Killswitch, which earned two million views on Worldstarhiphop, he’s here to deliver his latest visual along with the project.

A jazz tinged intro and the dope simplicity of a black and white cityscape set off the new single by M R$CH. “No Co-Pilot” offers an eclectic array of musical stylings within its instrumental (produced by Track Martians own AJ of Nazareth) that includes synth-y keys catering to R$CH’s unmistakably west-coast tone. The L.A. based emcee, finds his strides in catchy one-liners that connect through his ability to ride a beat in a chilled out pace.

By Kaitlin

GVNG drops off another video, this time for their track titled “Play.” Directed by Isaac Aguirre (Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky & more), two of the group’s members in Metta Cvse and Blonco take the spotlight and deliver some gritty, hard-hitting verses over the menacing EFF.DOPE production. CVTCH22 will be their first project release in two years, as they’ve taken the time to carefully craft and fine-tune this album like it’s the car of their dreams—and in a way, it is.

Lyfe Harris – On My Way ft. Ash Riser & Waxx

February 24, 2016

By Uptown Toney

I always look at Lyfe Harris as one of the creators of this reverb drenched, warm, bass-heavy brand of sung-rap late night R&B feels. His efforts from years ago might have gone unnoticed by the masses but his influence on the genre is unmatched. Continuing to inspire others, Lyfe returns with a new record “On My Way.” Using a muffled loop of Aaliyah’s “Rock the Boat,” Lyfe cooks up more mood music, adding to his impressive and ever-expanding catalogue of cuts. Stream Harris’ newest product below which features additional verses by L.A. natives Ash Riser and Waxx Lyfe.

Lais – Mine Only

February 24, 2016

By Uptown Toney

Nearly a week ago Lais premiered his newest EP 114. The 7-track project comes after a buzzing summer for the 22-year-old Pakistan-born, Toronto-base singer. A co-sign from the OVO camp had his dreamy Esta. produced single “For You” in heavy rotation. I’ve yet to hear the Canadian crooners project in full but have heard nothing but good things about it. From this side, the project seems like a great listen; so great in fact that Lais is has bonus tracks – “Mine Only” – out here getting premiered by Zane Lowe.

Take a few minutes out of your day and stream Lais’ 114 EP below along with it’s bonus track. Then be sure to purchase the project on iTunes.
