After the release of “Death of Me” I reached out to Alex Jordahl and Steezefield to share a few kind words about their chemistry and to let the two Illinois-natives know that they should keep up their awe inspiring brand of music. The two do just that on their newest collaboration “‘Til The Lights Go Out.”
Setting the stage for his forthcoming project, Jordahl vents all across Steeze’s ambient anthemic production, expressing just how he feels right now. Very crisp and swaggy, Alex uses more of his melodic sung-rap talents and even calls upon Steezefield for a few additional vocals.
Speaking of vocals, the looped screeching voice on this cut seems eerily close to Wiz Khalifa’s Blacc Hollywood cut “Promises” but as it turns out, it isn’t. The sample used in this case is from “Rasik” off Grimes’ album Halfaxa. Take a listen below and look out for more from Alex Jordahl and Steezefield in the future.
