South Florida has of course opened its grounds to countless immersive gatherings, with the central highlight being Ultra Music Festival, Miami’s premier electronic music event. On the other hand, when it comes to hip-hop music (particularly non-commercial), the city seems to have its fair share of troubles with holding their own, and as a result, fans end up losing out on the opportunity to reel in memories as they grudgingly look over skipped dates for widespread music festivals. Enter Dope Ent, a multi-functional platform that quickly gained a reputation for throwing some of the best hip-hop showcases in Miami, Florida. Utilizing every weapon imaginable in their armory, Dope Ent rolled out the red carpet for their biggest move yet, Rolling Loud, an all-day hip-hop music festival with an absolutely jaw-dropping line-up that included TDE’s ScHoolboy Q, Juicy J, A$AP Ferg, Action Bronson, Curren$y, Travis Scott, Shy Glizzy, Denzel Curry, Key! and much, more more.
The great Wynwood Flood made much of the early afternoon commute for Rolling Loud difficult, as a continuous downpour of heavy rain affected the prominent sectors around Soho Studios, the venue of choice for the hosting of Rolling Loud. In the pursuit for last-minute tickets, many individuals from home gawked over their Twitter feed with a hawk’s eye, trying to find a rock-solid deal as well as a weather update from those who managed to arrive promptly, despite the 100% precipitation forecast. Will-call remained drenched for the first half of the day, as a colossal line of concertgoers twisted and turned around corner edges in a snakelike manner. With over 6500+ in attendance, the all-too-familiar post-rain humidity mixed in with anxiety, proved to be a hindrance to those who tried to garnish themselves in an outfit that was fitting for the epic 12-hour long festival.
