Coming off the heels of a featured guest appearance on producer Frankie P‘s Sancocho compilation project as well as two singles of her own in “Amnesia” & “90’s Babies” New Jersey-based painter/singer-songwriter Camille Safiya has released the long awaited the followup to her 2013 ISLAND BLUES | The Sonic Memoirs debut EP, 24K.
Less themed than her island vibe first project, Safiya’s newly released 10-track effort takes a look at all of the experiences in the Soul-singers personal her life up and to this point. “At 24 years of age, this is my treasure chest. This album is my 24 karat gold to give to the world. I’ve been holding on to some of these songs since before my first EP, ‘Island Blues’ was released. They hold a special place in my heart; I’m excited to share this with the listeners – ’24K,’” says the New York born Afro-Latina.
With producers Pagez, C.D.R., Avenu, Outsiders, Frankie P, Jon Packles and a few others supplying Camille with Funky, Bass heavy Soul jams the songstress creates a whirlwind of emotion, detailing her personal encounters with love amazingly displaying her growth and unique creativity
