Many of the new school R&B artists are starting to fill the shoes of guys that came before them in one fashion or another. For Def Jam’s Caribbean bread Torontonian, JAHKOY, the shoes he seems to be filling are custom made. The rising singer/rapper versatility to slay House infused songs then turn around and serenade ears with a sweet slow jam like his Mars Today-produced cut “Wine.” Silky smooth in sound, JAHKOY’s vocals cascades down like water over a cliff, slashing onto a warm spring oasis near a white sandy beach.
